The push and pull between fire and darkness has created a cyclical nature that proliferates not only Dark Souls 3 but all of the Dark Souls games, as can be seen by the different endings available in each title. Fire and darkness are the 2 most dominant elements in Dark Souls 3, as they represent opposing forces positive and negative yin and yang as well as life and death.
